Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Client Assessment: Conduct initial fitness and health assessments, including health history, current fitness levels, and physical conditions, to determine needs and goals.
- Program Design: Create individualized exercise plans (cardiovascular, strength training, flexibility) tailored to each client's specific goals, preferences, and abilities.
- Instruction and Coaching: Lead one-on-one or group training sessions, demonstrating proper form and technique for all exercises and equipment to maximize effectiveness and prevent injuries.
- Motivation and Support: Provide ongoing motivation, guidance, and accountability to help clients stay committed and achieve their goals.
- Progress Tracking: Monitor and record client progress regularly (e.g., weight, measurements, performance metrics), adjusting training programs as needed to ensure continued improvement.
- Education and Advice: Educate clients on general health, wellness, and basic nutrition and lifestyle habits (within the scope of practice) to support holistic well-being.
- Safety and Environment: Ensure a safe and clean workout environment, following all health and safety regulations, and be prepared to provide emergency first aid if necessary.
- Administration: Manage client schedules, maintain accurate records and documentation, and handle other administrative tasks.
