Job Title: Part-Time Group Fitness Instructors & Personal Trainers
Location: Cirque de Vol – Downtown Raleigh, NC
Reports To: Studio Manager / Operations Manager
About Cirque de Vol
Cirque de Vol is where performance, movement, and human potential intersect. Long known as a premier circus and aerial arts center, we are now expanding into a bold new era of fitness programming. As we launch our personal training initiative, we are seeking exceptional fitness leaders who are energized by creativity, community, and movement-driven training.
If you thrive in a dynamic, nontraditional studio environment—and you are ready to shape a next-level fitness experience—we want to meet you.
Position Overview
We are hiring high-caliber instructors and personal trainers to lead early-morning weekday and Saturday fitness classes while also driving the success of our new personal training program. This role is ideal for professionals who excel at motivating clients, delivering innovative programming, and building strong member engagement.
You will be responsible for teaching outstanding group classes and actively enrolling members into both your classes and your personal training sessions. A performance-based bonus structure rewards instructors who successfully build a strong client base.
What Makes This Role Unique
Cirque de Vol is not a traditional gym. Our instructors use creative, movement-centric tools—from trapeze bars and aerial silks to kettlebells, dumbbells, resistance bands, yoga props, and bodyweight training. We are looking for professionals who can design inventive workouts that tap into calisthenics, skill-based strength, and multidimensional movement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead high-energy group fitness classes in Strength & Flexibility and Calisthenics. Can also include aspects of pilates, yoga or cardio-dance if desired.
- Develop innovative programming that blends functional fitness with our unique circus-inspired environment.
- Teach early-morning weekday and/or Saturday morning classes, followed by personal training sessions for private clients. Hours will vary, but will typically fall between 6am-2pm.
- Engage members, encourage participation, and support personal training enrollment.
- Adapt instruction for all fitness levels while ensuring safety, technique, and progression.
- Create an inclusive, motivating atmosphere that reflects Cirque de Vol’s community values.
- Stay current on industry trends and continuously enhance class and training offerings.
- Collaborate with the studio team to support the growth and success of the fitness program.
Qualifications
- Professional experience in group fitness and personal training; expertise in one or more of the listed disciplines.
- Accredited fitness certifications (e.g., Certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness, Yoga, Pilates), and CPR/First Aid.
- Proven leadership ability with strong communication and motivational skills.
- Reliable, professional, and available for early mornings and weekends.
- Comfortable designing calisthenics-focused programming and working with creative, nontraditional equipment.
